Huge Market Potential
There are literally tens of thousands of service companies involved in collaborative training or problem solving -- and, therefore, potentially tens of thousands of customers involved with their millions of clients. It's ideal for busy automotive repair shops who need correct answers quickly. An owner/operator affiliated with one of the largest transmission companies in this country has expressed a major need for such communication. Such a device could definitely be marketed to the mobility disabled according to the Chairman/Chief Executive of World Association of Persons with Disabilities. With the current and increasing popularity of telemedicine, telepointing has become a more recognized application. A priceless application for the Laser-Cam would be roof top/ceiling locations in ambulances or EMVs. That market alone would be mind boggling in itself. Yet another market, law officials. Local agencies have envisioned laser telepointing for infield forensics and tactical referencing. A wireless internet company call Airwire.net has expressed their own use of laser telepointing when soliciting statewide law officials with their services. See photos. Just a few more markets involving the military, aerospace and specialty equipment manufacturers/services could also be included on this vast list for potential markets. Not to overlook educational applications, laser telepointing could also be used in teleconferenced environments in schools and universities. On a personal note:
My envisioned market is seeing a global community replace existing one function home computer web-cameras with Laser-Cam telepointers and to promote participating service companies to all those purchasing one. For the home user it would mean the answers of "how to" with practically all home appliances, including the family automobile! Service companies would quickly jump to this system because of the advertising potential for their products along side of being on the cutting edge of technology. This may seem a little far fetched for some to grasp, but I am also the same person that had enough foresight to pursue this patent back in 1998. |
